Laravel's built-in HTTP client is enough to send SMS from a Laravel application -- no package is required.

use Illuminate\Support\Facades\Http;

$response = Http::withToken(config('services.sms.key'))
    ->post('https://your-domain.example/api/v1/messages', [
        'recipient' => '255700000000',
        'sender_id' => 'YOURBRAND',
        'body' => 'Your order has shipped.',
    ]);

if ($response->successful()) {
    // queued
}

Where to keep the key

Store the API key in .env and reference it through config/services.php rather than hardcoding it, the same way you'd configure any other third-party service in Laravel:

// config/services.php
'sms' => [
    'key' => env('SMS_API_KEY'),
],

Delivery webhooks

If the API supports delivery webhooks, register a route to receive them and update your own records when a message's status changes, rather than polling for it.
