What does bulk SMS cost?
Every business starts on the same flat rate per SMS, shown on our home page, with no tiers to reach and nothing to negotiate. Businesses with high monthly traffic can get an even lower rate. You buy credits up front, there is no line rental, no contract and no minimum spend, and credits never expire.
Which countries can I send to?
Tanzania is live today across Vodacom, Airtel, Tigo, Halotel, TTCL and Zantel. Kenya is our next market and has an open waitlist, with Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi on the roadmap. One account sends to every market we support, so you never manage a second login.
Can I use my own business name as the sender?
Yes. We register an alphanumeric sender ID for you with the regulator in each country, so recipients see your brand rather than an anonymous number. Registration is included and we handle the paperwork.
How fast can I start sending?
You can create an account and send a test message immediately. Live traffic under your own name begins once your sender ID is approved, which usually takes 3 to 5 business days. It is the only step that depends on a third party, and we prepare the paperwork for you.
What is lead capture?
A form builder inside your SwalaSMS account. Pick a template or start from scratch, share the link or QR code on social media, in your bio or on a poster, and every person who fills it in is saved straight into your contacts. You can send them an automatic thank-you SMS and message the whole list later, for preorders, event registrations, new members or customer feedback.
Do I get a better rate if I send more?
